Susan Gueli serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Infrastructure & Operations at Nationwide, one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the U.S. 

In this role, Susan leads data center support, network and platform services, print and desktop technology, and document solutions. She also serves on Nationwide’s Chief Information Officer Council (CIOC) to partner with peers in planning and executing the enterprise IT Strategy.  

Susan has held numerous positions since joining Nationwide in 1986. Prior to her current role, she served as Senior Vice President and CIO for Nationwide Financial responsible for leading all technological business solutions including the development and maintenance of financial services systems. Other positions include; Vice President, Application and Development Services Center, Vice President, Information Risk, and Associate Vice President, Infrastructure Technology Solutions.  

She was recognized in 2006 for her accomplishments and contributions in the field of Information Security and received the Women of Influence Award – Corporate Practitioner from CSO Magazine and Alta Associates. In 2010, Susan was named as one of the Top Ten Women in Leadership in the Insurance Industry by Insurance Networking News for her contributions to the business, and Susan was chosen to be one of Insurance & Technology’s Elite 8 for 2012 as an outstanding senior technology executive in the insurance industry. 
Susan serves on the Board of Directors for Children’s Hunger Alliance and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Computer Science from The Ohio State University, Summa Cum Laude.
