Panel: Ethics & Privacy: Rethinking the Good and Bad of Customer Data

We all know that customer data is an invaluable asset. It’s how companies provide us tailored services. But it also poses tremendous business and regulatory risk if used improperly. GDPR is the latest headline around storage and use of personal data, but it is simply a checklist for minimum requirements to meet regulations on data management. Instead of a compliance approach, we think companies need to consider ethical data use—the why and how personal data should be collected, stored, and used.
